CHASING THE SUN

A friend saw this painting in a show, did not know it was mine and asked the question,"Why would anyone paint something like this?"

I explained that I painted it for a child's room. She said, "Well, don't do it again."

A year later it sold at the opening of another show. A few days later another patron came along and asked me to paint another one like it.

I did paint something similar for her.

My friend and I have had many good laughs about the painting selling twice.
